Muay Thai Boxing is referred to as "The Science of Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this full-contact martial art originating in South East Asia. At the Sor.Vorapin gym in central Bangkok locals and tourists train to fight. Tournaments are held at two stadiums in the city on alternate nights with around a dozen bouts in different age and weight groups.
Rung "June" Narin is professional female Muay Thai boxer who weighs-in at just 46kg. Her day starts early with a run before heading to the gym, taking a break during the hottest hours of the day then continuing through the afternoon. June supports her mother in the north of the country by sending home prize money - she won seven of her eight professional fights.
